Nüart Gallery is excited to present Renovations, an exhibition that showcases Sunny Taylor’s latest advance into the visual narrative of architectural decay and resilience in the rural landscapes of the American Northeast. This exhibition will feature an array of Taylor’s acrylic paintings that delve into the aesthetic and historical essence of worn barns, homes, and cottages. Renovations will run from April 5 through April 21, 2024 with an opening reception on Friday, April 5, from 5-7 pm.

In this collection, Sunny Taylor articulates an intimate dialogue with the past, capturing the stoic beauty of architectural forms shaped by time and nature. Her work fosters a conversation between human craftsmanship and the enduring forces of the natural world. The artistic process Taylor employs—marked by meticulous layering techniques, interspersed with acts of revealing and concealing—mirrors the very processes of change that these structures undergo.
