Peter Everett: Hypnagogic
opening reception: Saturday, April 27, 5:30-9 pm
on view: April 27–June 28, 2024
Material is pleased to present Peter Everett: Hypnagogic, a presentation of new paintings by nationally and internationally exhibiting artist Peter Everett!
In the artist’s statement for his exhibition Hypnagogic, Everett says, “The patterns and shapes in my work are often derived from visual phenomena experienced in transitional periods—between sleep and consciousness or in a meditative state. The work is additive in nature and favors complexity leaning towards a hyper-stimulated visual experience.”
The exhibition will also be available for viewing on Friday, May 17, 6-8 pm as part of Salt Lake City’s Gallery Stroll, during the closing reception on Friday, June 28 from 6-8 pm, and by appointment.
