Joe West and Lori K. Ottino will bring their energetic chemistry to kind of a small array in Magdalena on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Doors will open at 6 pm, with music beginning at 7 pm. Seating is limited, text or call 210.473.9062 to reserve your seats.
Quirky, offbeat and melodic, and original, West’s award-winning “theatrical folk music” is a singular mix of country and rock, which he has been recording and releasing on cassettes, CDs and vinyl records since the mid-eighties. He has toured extensively throughout the States and Europe, opening and sharing the stage with the likes of Peter Rowan, The Violent Femmes, Arlo and Sara Lee Guthrie, Mojo Nixon, Jon Dee Graham, and James McMurtry.
Joe lives on his family homestead south of Santa Fe where he spends his free hours gardening and tending to a flock of chickens.
Lori Ottino has been found singing her heart out since she was a kid, harmonizing with family around the piano and belting songs on musical theater stages.
As a young adult, she experimented with many styles. Though she had a blast improvising in the West Coast electronica scene and singing leads for a ska-reggae band in France, (Natty Smiling) she can now be found full circle round to her Southwest Americana roots and has made a home in New Mexico, where she can be spotted singing and playing her melodica with bands like The Family Coal, Hot Honey, Dear Doctor, and a few different electrifying Joe West orchestrations, including The Santa Fe Revue and the dynamic duo, Joe and Lori.
