Join us for the fifteenth edition of Currents’ annual art and technology festival. Currents 2024 is a ten-day festival at El Museo Cultural in Santa Fe’s bustling Railyard Arts District from June 14–June 23, 2024. The festival showcases a diverse range of new media and electronic arts, spanning installations, robotics, and experimental films. Join us for our dynamic opening weekend, filled with captivating multimedia performances and an AI Symposium featuring a panel of artists who incorporate AI as a collaborative tool in their works. Don’t miss this year’s vibrant showcase featuring sixty-five works crafted by ninety-seven talented individual and collaborating artists.
Currents is a project of Parallel Studios Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Frank Ragano and Mariannah Amster. As curators, they have presented work at the junction of art and technology by regionally, nationally, and internationally based artists for twenty-two years. The result is a strikingly diverse exhibition that attracts a wide range of local and visiting audiences. Every year, the festival showcases the unfolding edge of new media art, providing a platform for artists to freely explore and exhibit their innovative visions in this quintessentially twenty-first-century art form, while embracing the latest developments in the field.
