Join Jacqueline Mallegni for an engaging and in-depth study in the fascinating art of making paper by hand using the traditional kozo fiber. Throughout this workshop, you will learn the meticulous process of preparing and processing kozo, allowing you to form exquisite sheets of beautiful ‘washi’. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to experiment with adding various inclusion techniques that will enhance the depth and character of your unique paper creations. All necessary materials are included in the class fee, ensuring you have everything you need to fully immerse yourself in this creative experience.
Traditional Asian style papermaking requires soaking, cooking and beating the mulberry fiber by hand in preparation for sheet formation. These processes will be covered in the workshop.
