The COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound and unprecedented effect on small businesses and organizations, and its effects on arts, culture, and tourism will only continue to unfold. Southwest Contemporary will continue to serve our community by sharing information, resources, and connections, and supporting arts businesses, organizations, and artists as best we can during this time. However, we need you, our readers and community members, to help us weather this storm.
We’ve already experienced a loss of revenue directly resulting from event cancellations and organization closures. Our print publication is free locally, and our website has no paywall, and we’d like to keep it this way! On average, 97.2% of our budget comes from advertising. We need to shift this number significantly in the coming months, but we need your help NOW.
