There are a lot of moving pieces every step of the way. It means multiple to-do lists, overlapping deadlines, anticipating delays, communicating, and giving and receiving direct feedback.
For me, it’s amazing! I get to be the custodian of this organization which has a real, vital mission to bring critical culture writing to our community. But for all the visioning, strategies, to-dos, and reviews, so much is out of my control. It makes me so grateful for the team behind each issue, so grateful for our advertisers who make this work possible, and most of all grateful for our community (you), for providing us with the inspiration to create each issue!

things I’m up to this week:
cause I’m supporting
The Museum of New Mexico Foundation (MNMF). The Magazine is proud to be a Corporate Sponsor of the foundation, which supports the Museum of New Mexico system through fund development for exhibitions and education programs, licensing, advocacy, and more. AND, being a member comes with awesome perks at all levels!
who I’m following
Better Together @shopbettertogether, a new boutique open on Lena Street with sweet duds at affordable prices, run by young entrepreneur Daisy Geoffrey.
what I’m looking forward to
The Objects of Art show. Booths vary from high-end antiques to glorified-flea-market finds, so you can find an eclectic array of objets d’art to suit any design aesthetic.
what’s up next at The Magazine
