Women of the Rails Installation

The Railyard Park Conservancy’s (RPC) Railyard Art Project (RAP) is excited to announce the installation of Women of the Rails, a large-scale mural by the Albuquerque-based Herstory Printmaking Collective on one of the community buildings in Santa Fe’s Railyard Park. Featuring original artwork printed from customized, sticky foam relief plates using Caligo inks, the mural is a celebration of the many under-recognized women who have contributed to the culture surrounding the Santa Fe Railyard and the Western rail experience.

The first of two upcoming RAP projects being funded by a grant from the City of Santa Fe’s Arts and Culture Department, the Women of the Rails installation event will highlight the RPC’s free community Earth Day celebration at the Park, from 10am-2pm on Saturday, April 20.
