The School of Advanced Research(SAR) 2024 Native Arts Speaker Series — Weaving Histories: Stories of Tradition and Innovation in Pueblo Fiber Arts

Iva Honyestewa (Hopi, Diné), the 2014 Eric and Barbara Dobkin Fellow at SAR, discusses pootsaya baskets, which combine both coil and sifter methods of basketry. Iva, who developed this unique technique while in residence at SAR, shares how her basket making practice has evolved over the past decade.

Event will take place at the SAR Boardroom and on YouTube Live. This is the last in a series of four lectures.
