Their Largeness Passes Through Me
opening reception: Friday, July 5, 6-9 pm

Sometimes we find ourselves alone and isolated from the world. This isolation can be either chosen or involuntary or both at the same time. Shawn Skabelund’s site-specific, place-based installation, Their Largeness Passes Through Me, tries to capture this. It is a glimpse into a hidden refuge among charred and fallen pines, the need to recreate and find oneself, and where healing and mending can take place. It is an honoring of the impermanence of life, and that change is inevitable and constantly surrounds us.
