Duende Gallery is proud to announce its grand opening in the historic artist village of Galisteo, New Mexico. The gallery, located inside northern New Mexico’s oldest dance hall (La Sala de San José), is also thrilled to present its inaugural exhibition, Quietude. This exhibition features new works by acclaimed ceramic artist Robert King (Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma) and Taos-based abstract painter, Boramie Sao.
Quietude invites viewers into a world of serenity and introspection where the subtleties of form and color evoke a sense of tranquility amongst the chaos of the modern world. King’s ceramic creations, inspired by the natural beauty of the Southwest, harmonize with Sao’s evocative abstract compositions, creating a dialogue between earthy textures and ethereal visions. Included in this exhibition are four ceramic vessels created by the two in full collaboration.
