On view in the transient space between Mahgathe and De La Calle’s exhibitions, Jack Morillo presents Face Me, an installation in Art League Houston’s Hallway Gallery that challenges notions of knowability and chrononormativity. Through the concealment of clocks under axes of veiling, weighing, and encoding, Morillo provokes questions about time, desire, and legibility, using sexually deviant vocabulary to explore experiences of non-normative temporality.
