The University of New Mexico Department of Art presents a free open studio event with this year’s Frederick Hammersley visiting artist, Molly Zuckerman-Hartung on Thursday, April 18, 3-6 pm at the Art Annex building on UNM’s central campus.
The Hammersely Visiting Artist program invites prominent contemporary painters from around the world to come live and work in Albuquerque for three months each Spring semester. Through this program, visiting artists are provided with accommodations at The Hammersley House, a studio in proximity to the UNM Department of Art graduate students. The visiting artists are invited to create work, conduct studio visits with the Fine Arts graduate candidates, hold workshops, deliver a public lecture, and host an Open Studio event.
Funding for this program is provided by the Frederick Hammersley Visiting Artist Program Fund at the Albuquerque Community Foundation.
