Exploring the Myth of Separability with Carol Padberg

March 21, 6:00 pm8:00 pm

Join artist Carol Padberg at 516 ARTS for an evening of restorative exercises, activities, and games that help people reconnect with the natural world. Padberg’s work is featured in current exhibition Geohaptics: Sensing Climate. Her installation Mess Kit for Settlers addresses the Myth of Separability-—the notion that humans are separate from nature—through poetic and practical means. This event is a dynamic, hands-on exploration of these themes, featuring “re-kinning” activities that will include making calendula salve, a skin lotion; playing the Kin Cards card games; enjoying relaxing somatic exercises; and learning about regenerative walking practices.
