Easter is around the corner, and we are offering a class where you will create a basket and flower arrangement in just one day! In this workshop you are going to learn how to weave a unique basket and then make a centerpiece flower arrangement. You will take your unique basket and ikebana home, so that you could decorate your dining room for Easter!
Alice Fujita is a basket maker and also, a Sangetsu Ikebana Instructor. She fell in love with basket making after taking a class on making an onion basket but is largely a self-taught artist. She enjoys experimenting with classic hanakago shapes, and also, local materials. She started learning Ikebana in Japan and has been teaching Ikebana (Japanese Art of flower arranging) in the US since 2018.
