Armen Donelian Trio

Pianist-Composer and Fulbright Scholar, Armen Donelian, has enjoyed a forty-year career as a performer, recording artist, educator and author. The leader of his own quintet and trio, he has appeared with jazz legends Sonny Rollins, Chet Baker, and Paquito D’Rivera and others, and has performed throughout the world. His distinctive music blends his Armenian origin, Classical technique and his association with the jazz greats with whom he has played. Reinventing himself at the age of seventy-one with his 2022 release, Fresh Start, Donelian introduces his new “unabashedly beautiful” trio featuring bassist Jay Anderson and drummer Dennis Mackrel.
