past migrations now

An exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Orso Czerny. This curated body of work is from the artist’s personal collection which spans the last fifteen years. Each piece a past migration, a past journey to the present, to the now. A powerful glimpse into the artists continually evolving praxis.

During the opening reception there will be a special screening with award winning filmmaker Erica Nguyen of her current work in progress: Phantom Roots, a family road memoir that spans the Vietnamese diaspora from New Mexico to Little Saigon in California.

*A percentage of art sales benefit the final production for Phantom Roots*

“My varied practices are paddles with which I navigate; the compasses guiding me forth – revealing the ritual of creating that binds me to the deeper meanings of being alive and what it means to be human.” – Orso Czerny
