George Frideric Handel’s glorious Messiah is a landmark oratorio, with soaring arias, memorable choruses, and all the elegance traditionally associated with the High Baroque style. This beloved masterpiece is also one of the most enduring messages of hope in the entire choral repertoire. Don’t miss The Symphony’s annual performance at the Lensic—a Santa Fe tradition. Conducted by Gary Thor Wedow and featuring the full Symphony Orchestra and Chorus with choral direction by Carmen Flórez-Mansi. This year’s brilliant cast of stars includes soprano Cadie J. Bryan, mezzo-soprano Gina Perregrino, tenor Aaron Crouch, and bass Kevin Burdette. The run time for our version of Messiah is 2.5 hours with one intermission.
