As ceramics arts draw a growing audience seeking creativity and calm, the Taos Ceramics Center is expanding its campus to meet the demand.

This summer, the Taos Ceramics Center is celebrating its sixth year of driving ceramic arts education and appreciation in Northern New Mexico. Its exhibition gallery, workshops, and residency program are now widely recognized throughout the U.S., and their class offerings and private lessons are ever-more in demand. “Ceramics is being fully embraced by people of all ages and backgrounds as a creative artform and as a ‘centering’ activity, particularly in today’s challenging times,” says Georgia Epstein, a TCC founder and its general manager.
In 2024, the TCC was recognized as a nonprofit educational organization. “It was a critical step in assuring our future,” notes Epstein. “We are committed to adding a 4,200-square-foot dedicated education building to our existing campus by 2028 to address community demand and broaden opportunities. This will provide the increased revenues that are essential to TCC’s long-term sustainability.”
The center will expand class offerings to accommodate more children, seniors, and veterans and allow the TCC to host workshops and seminars year-round led by ceramic arts professionals from throughout the U.S. and beyond.
A capital campaign was successfully kicked off in 2025 to fund their expansion and the TCC welcomes your support and/or sponsorship. There are naming opportunities still available starting at $25,000. Their goal is for construction to be fully funded by year’s end.
