Whitehawk Antique Indian & Ethnographic Art Show
August 6–9, 2026
Santa Fe Community Convention Center
More than 130 renowned experts will showcase and sell outstanding historical and select contemporary works from six continents, August 6-9, 2026, throughout the 40,000+ square feet of the Santa Fe Community Convention Center in Santa Fe. Visitors will see exceptional jewelry, baskets, weavings, pottery, beadwork, carvings, textiles, sculptures, paintings, photography, and more. The show highlights art from North American Indigenous groups and First Nations of Canada, along with ethnographic works from around the world.
The Whitehawk Show is the premier event of its kind in the world.
Attendees will have direct access to experts who can answer questions about the art, explain how it was made, identify commonly used materials, and often trace how styles and themes have evolved from historic works to contemporary creations.
Whitehawk also offers two Benefit Previews on August 5, 2026, giving ticket holders a first look at the show while supporting two remarkable Native American nonprofit organizations. From 5 to 7 pm, Turquoise Tier participants will enjoy complimentary gourmet and Native American-themed hors d’oeuvres, along with wine and champagne. Most importantly, they will have the opportunity to speak with members of Native American Jump Start, which has placed more than a million dollars of support into the hands of Indian youth across fifty tribes, supporting higher education and advanced career training opportunities. See more at nativeamericanjumpstart.org.
From 7 to 9 pm, the Silver Tier will support the Southwest Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA), producer of the Santa Fe Indian Market. Now in its 104th year, the market showcases contemporary Native American art, culture, and heritage through works by Native artists from more than 200 tribes across North America. Admission includes a preview of the Whitehawk Show and complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine, and other beverages. See more at swaia.org.

A major highlight of this year’s Whitehawk Show is two exclusive Special Exhibits.
Fresh from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., and the Denver Art Museum in Colorado, Heritage: A Legacy of Tradition will travel to the Santa Fe Convention Center for the 2026 Whitehawk Antique Indian and Ethnographic Art Show.
Presented by the Hollow Collection, these Aboriginal works represent more than 60,000 years of the world’s longest continuous culture. These artworks communicate complex spiritual and cultural narratives through iconography. This Whitehawk Special Exhibit reflects more than forty years of collecting, and many pieces have never been seen outside Australia.
Also in the spotlight is The First Moderns, a rare collection of Navajo Germantown weavings from the 1880s to the 1900s that demonstrates how Native Americans produced the first modern art in the Americas.
At the same time weavers in the desert Southwest were threading a dazzling array of yarns across their looms, European innovators such as Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Cézanne were pushing the limits of traditional painting. Navajo master weavers, unfamiliar with developments across the Atlantic, were quietly launching groundbreaking experiments with abstraction and color in America.
The Whitehawk Show runs August 6-9, 2026, at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Learn more and purchase advance tickets at whitehawkshows.com.
