WE NEED YOUR HELP.
The COVID-19 pandemic is having a profound and unprecedented effect on small businesses and organizations, and its effects on arts, culture, and tourism will only continue to unfold. Southwest Contemporary will continue to serve our community by sharing information, resources, and connections, and supporting arts businesses, organizations, and artists as best we can during this time. However, we need you, our readers and community members, to help us weather this storm.
We’ve already experienced a loss of revenue directly resulting from event cancellations and organization closures. Our print publication is free locally, and our website has no paywall, and we’d like to keep it this way! On average, 97.2% of our budget comes from advertising. We need to shift this number significantly in the coming months, but we need your help NOW.
At a time when the arts need coverage and visibility more than ever, we’re asking for your help to continue our work as the voice of contemporary arts in New Mexico, and to help secure a sustainable future for this independent, local media company. You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation, or by subscribing to The Magazine.
We’re so grateful for your support!
—Lauren Tresp, owner and publisher, Southwest Contemporary
