The Fort Lewis College Art Gallery is delighted to host the 64th Annual Juried Exhibition, juried by Gallerist and artist Leroy Garcia. Garcia founded Blue Rain Gallery (Santa Fe, Durango) 25 years ago. Through embracing the masterpieces of other artists, he acquired an appreciation for art and became adept at the technicalities of the creation process. Garcia has built a reputation for representing diverse talents, fostering innovation, and supporting community initiatives. He is also an active contemporary artist who creates bronze sculptures, bronze tiles, and glass sculptures along with his contributions to arts education and cultural awareness.
Garcia brings his decades-long experience to selecting images from FLC students to curate this exhibition. Over the past 63 years, Fort Lewis College has provided an opportunity for student artists to showcase and celebrate their artwork. Students become more adaptive to their field of study in the art department and to the community.
