Reception: Abiquiú Dome Gallery & Shop’s Season Opening

May 3, 1:00 pm3:00 pm MDT

Step inside a truly one-of-a-kind art space as we celebrate the opening of our 2025 season at Abiquiú Dome Gallery & Shop! Our gallery is housed within a striking adobe dome inspired by ancient Byzantine architecture, accompanied by an adjacent shop and inviting outdoor conversation areas.

Owned and curated by mother-daughter duo Connie B. Burkhart and Becca Fisher, Abiquiú Dome is a space where art, nature, and community converge. Connie, an oxygen-acetylene metal art welder, creates intricate, fire-forged works that echo the spirited beauty of the Southwest. Becca, a painter of small acrylic landscapes, captures the vast and shifting moods of New Mexico in her delicate yet evocative pieces. Together, they bring a deep love for the land and a passion for handcrafted art to every corner of the gallery.

In addition to their own work, Abiquiú Dome proudly showcases a selection of fine art, ceramics, textiles, prints, jewelry, and more from an array of regional artists and artisans. Each piece is carefully chosen to reflect the vast talent, beauty, and depth of artists living in the area.

Join us for our Season Opening Reception and be among the first to explore new collections, connect with local creatives, and enjoy live music and light refreshments as we welcome another year of art and inspiration. Whether you’re a longtime friend or a first-time visitor, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Reception hours: 1pm-3pm, Saturday, May 3rd
Regular in-season hours after May 3rd: Friday-Sunday, 11am-4pm, May- end of October
