Group Exhibition: World Without End
opening reception: November 16, 4-8 pm
ongoing reception: November 16, 2024-January 4, 2025
World Without End is a group exhibition including new works by Aron John Dubois, Lowe Fehn, Estefania Puerta Grisales, Sarah M. Rodriguez, and Noah Schneiderman.
Emerging from an awareness of our culture’s persistent tendency to gravitate toward apocalyptic narratives when envisioning the end of our current epoch, this exhibition includes the work of five artists who think outside of this paradigm.
Rather than assuming that our trajectory must culminate in collapse and extinction, the artists in this exhibition present visions of speculative futures for our planet which break from familiar cycles of exploitation and destruction caused by colonialism, capitalism, and environmental degradation. In these imagined futurities, the earth has been reclaimed by nature, continuing to evolve and iterate beyond what is currently possible to conceive.
This exhibition invites viewers to reimagine a future not defined by ecological ruin but by regeneration and interdependence between all living things.
