Amapola Celebrates Albuquerque’s Birthday

Old Town will be alive on April 19 celebrating its 318th birthday and Amapola Gallery will be joining in as it celebrates its 45^th anniversary. Did you know that Amapola means Poppy in Spanish? For that reason, the gallery will be having a paper poppy giveaway. Artists also have donated some items which will be raffled off with Easter Eggs. There will be demonstrations by artists in the front patio of the Romero House in the morning into the afternoon. Finally, Amapola will have a booth on the plaza with other businesses in Old Town, just in case you don’t feel like climbing the staircase to the gallery. This is the first of several celebrations recognizing our 45^th year as a co-op in Old Town.
