Alberto Gálvez: Jardín de Invierno

Nüart Gallery presents Jardín de Invierno a solo exhibition featuring new work by Alberto Gálvez. The exhibition will run from November 22 through December 14, 2024, with an opening reception on Friday, November 22, 5-7 pm.

Alberto Gálvez’s latest series delves into the silent resonance of imagined faces framed by botanical motifs. His portraits, meticulously layered with oil glazes, emerge with a contemplative stillness, inviting viewers to reflect on themes of nature and identity. Inspired by Renaissance portraiture and the naturalist traditions of 17th- and 18th-century botanical art, Gálvez’s approach combines classical influences with a distinctively contemporary perspective. The exhibition’s compositions embody an ongoing inquiry into existence, bridging the historical and the contemporary in a harmonious visual language.
