Southwest Contemporary’s inaugural Benefit Art Auction is now live, featuring more than fifty exceptional works by contemporary artists across the Southwest. This is your chance to collect pieces from names you know and love—Virgil Ortiz, Erika Wanenmacher, Maja Ruznic, Terran Last Gun, and many more—while supporting independent arts journalism.
The auction culminates in our first-ever Art Party fundraiser on Friday, June 6, at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Santa Fe. Join us for a vibrant evening of art, music, and cocktails, including live entertainment by psych-Western artist Betty Benedeadly, a limited-edition print by Steven J. Yazzie for VIP ticket holders, and an electrifying crowd of artists, collectors, and culture lovers. Tickets are going fast—don’t miss the party of the season!

Notable Lots
- Kat Kinnick, cover artist for the just-released New Mexico Field Guide, offers two animal paintings starting at $500 and $700.
- Cochiti Pueblo icon Virgil Ortiz contributes a mixed-media mask titled Runner Turquoise starting at $3,000.
- A vibrant lithograph by feminist trailblazer Judy Chicago starts at $7,000, which is nearly 60% below the retail price.
- Santa Fe–based artist Erika Wanenmacher, who recently had a SITE Santa Fe solo show, offers a woodblock print starting at $600.
- Terran Last Gun (Piikani) and Daisy Quezada Ureña, featured artists in the forthcoming SITE Santa Fe International, contribute lots starting at $400 and $650 respectively.
- Maja Ruznic, who appeared in last year’s Whitney Biennial and will also participate in the SITE International, offers a monoprint starting at $3,000.
