- The Screen cinema on the former SFUAD campus, which closed in April, came “back to life” this month via a “new initiative between the City of Santa Fe and the CCA.” On July 13th, CCA presents The Screen opened with screenings of Three Identical Strangers and Strangers on the Earth, with more films lined up through September.
- The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum has hired a new curator of fine art, Ariel Plotek, PhD, who served most recently as Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the San Diego Museum of Art.
- Santa Fe fashion designer Orlando Dugi [Diné, (Navajo)] was a top-twelve finalist at Phoenix Fashion Week. Dugi will participate in the Emerging Designer Bootcamp 2018 (June – October) leading up to Phoenix Fashion Week’s premier showcase at Talking Stick Resort, October 18-20, 2018, where one designer will walk away with the title of “Couture Designer of the Year” and a $10,000 prize package.
- The National Center for Arts Research named Santa Fe the most arts-vibrant medium-sized city in the US!
