Hamilton Tickets
The blockbuster Broadway musical, which was set to debut in New Mexico in the 2020-2021 season but experienced a postponement due to (sigh) you know what, is officially on the docket from January 25 through February 13, 2022. There are still tickets available for many of the dates. Grab them in person at the UNM Bookstore Ticket Office (2301 Central Avenue NE, Albuquerque, 87131); call Popejoy at 505-925-5858 or 877-664-8661; or buy online. Hamilton takes place at Popejoy Hall, 203 Cornell Drive, Albuquerque, 87131.
Staycation at Sarabande Bed and Breakfast
This classy yet comfortable bed and breakfast “with a modern twist” in Los Ranchos features private courtyards for most of the rooms, a swimming pool (for summer months), and a breakfast menu that includes shakshouka as well as huevos motuleños, a Yucatán dish. 5637 Rio Grande Boulevard NM, Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, 87107. 505-348-5593. Book some chill time (since you totally freaking deserve it) online.
Original Art, Artist Prints, and More at Lapis Room
Lapis Room, a shop and art gallery, opened this summer, energizing Old Town Albuquerque with hip and contemporary offerings. There are various nooks throughout the space featuring original artworks and prints by regional artists such as Eric Romero, Danielle Hacche, Laura Spalding Best, and more. Shop at the brick-and-mortar at 303 Romero Street NW, Suite 107, Albuquerque, 87104. 505-508-2733. Or “add to cart” online.
Guild Cinema Movie Passes
Earlier this year, the one-screen indie movie theater in Nob Hill opened back up for in-person screenings and one-off special events. The programming, whether foreign fare or 4k restorations of cult favorites, is dynamite and some of the best in the region. Take advantage by purchasing advanced gift certificates by emailing info@guildcinema.com. Guild Cinema, 3405 Central Avenue NE, Albuquerque, 87106. 505-255-1848. Showtimes and theater details are available on the Guild website.
Artsy Tarot Deck at Blue Eagle Metaphysical
We all need some cleansing and centering after yet another wrecked year. Los Poblanos, which houses a lavender farm, historic inn, and the restaurant Campo, also features an impressive farm shop that carries lifestyle gifts, books, and a line of lavender products, ranging from bath and body to hair care. A lavender peppermint line of body washes, hand lotions, and more recently debuted for this holiday season.
