This spring features the young and brilliant Cuban jazz duo Alfredo Rodríguez and Pedrito Martínez; comedian Demetri Martin; a taste of New Orleans funk and R&B with Take Me to the River featuring George Porter and Jon Cleary; St. Patrick’s Day revelries with Ireland’s leading acoustic group Lúnasa; trumpet star Chris Botti; the brilliant Paul Taylor Dance Company, known for its exuberant lyricism; legendary vocal quartet The Manhattan Transfer; the highly competitive and hilarious Piano Battle; and the genre-crashing Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Looking ahead to the summer, jazz vocalist José James tours his new album, On & On: José Jamez Sings Badu (yes, as in Erykah Badu!).
