Chelsea Industrial, New York
Future Fair, marking its fifth anniversary, assembles a tightly curated roster of local, national, and international galleries, each spotlighting new artists and programs poised for broader recognition. The 2025 edition includes several exhibitors from Canada and other global regions, alongside U.S. galleries from Detroit, Houston, Santa Fe, and San Juan, juxtaposed with New York’s rising talents.
Central to the fair’s ethos is its Pay-It-Forward Fund, a mutual-aid initiative that allocates grants from ticket sales, sponsorships, and exhibitor contributions to support new participants in future iterations. This model reinforces the fair’s focus on sustainability within the art-dealing ecosystem.
Future Fair continues to pioneer an inclusive platform for the art world: a quarter of the galleries are minority-owned, a quarter operate internationally, and over half are women-led, reflecting its effort to elevate underrepresented voices.
Held on Chelsea Industrial’s ground floor, the fair maintains an accessible scale with nearly seventy exhibitors selected by its second Curatorial Committee, including Dr. Margarita Lila Rosa, Eden Deering, and Jenée-Daria Strand.
This year, Future Fair features two exhibiting galleries based in the Southwest region, including Smoke the Moon (New Mexico) and Mitochondria Gallery (Texas).
Attend the fair May 7-10, 2025.
