Artist Rebecca Pugh takes inspiration from her surroundings in Texas including landscapes along rural highways in a solo exhibition titled Fences & Fields. In her recent paintings, the artist abstracts ranch fences, cattle, horses and regional wildflowers into geometric shapes of color. The artist shares her perspective and expanded approach to painting with two and three-dimensional work exploring the Texas landscape at the Julia C. Butridge Gallery, located in the City of Austin’s Dougherty Art Center, in Austin, TX. On view June 28 – August 9, 2025. A reception will be held on July 9, 2025, and an artist talk on August 6, 2025.
