Reading: DISPLACED

Join us for a community-centered literary event exploring the theme of displacement.
Presented by Alchemy Author Services, in collaboration with Matter Books, (UN)SEEN Frames of Quiet Witness, and RedLine Contemporary Art Center.
Join us for a community-centered literary event exploring the theme of displacement: through eviction, migration, institutional shutdowns, and the erosion of community spaces.
Local writers will read selected works engaging these tensions, offering perspectives that move between personal narrative and collective experience.
The evening will also feature two poets from the(UN)SEEN exhibition currently on display at RedLine, with additional participation from community partners, including Matter Books.
The Sumud Artist Collective, the curators behind the (UN)SEEN exhibition, will have prints to purchase at the event, with all proceeds going to benefit the Middle Eastern Children’s Alliance.
This gathering is intended as both a reading and a space for connection, reflection, and awareness, with opportunities to engage with and support local organizations doing critical work in the community.
