Ron Lambert’s current work looks at the eccentricities in how we have marked place. How we remove and replace substances that made a location of interest, leaving it in a state that will be examined by future generations to try and understand our motives. The constructed objects and video examine our efforts to make sense of and/or control our environment. These actions of locational identity help to create a sense of ownership over what we feel the need to protect. Ron sees this mindset as playing a role in the divisiveness in our culture today. Lambert will be in our Helen DeVitt Studio Gallery from June 6 – July 26, 2025.
