Master Encaustic Artist Helen K. Garber will be giving a lecture and demo on her 2D and 3D photo encaustic techniques at the Museum of Encaustic Art. Helen will talk about creating 2D and 3D art objects using collage elements such as digitally printed photos, fine art papers, book pages, collected objects, and encaustic wax or beeswax on wood substrate. She will discuss the Secret behind her Magic Boxes, where she combines talisman objects sealed within small wooden boxes covered with her photographs, book pages, fine art papers that are held together with bees wax. The combined elements are known to attract positive energy from the universe.
