Exhibition Opening, First Sunday ARTScrawl | Bunny & Leland Bowen: We Are In The Trees

We are in the Trees showcases Bunny Bowen’s lifelong passion for trees, from the maple and dogwood forests of her childhood in the Shenandoah Valley to our southwestern forests surrounded by aspen and juniper. This exhibition is inspired by her relationship with trees, presenting works in wood, fiber, painting and clay.
The First Sunday ARTScrawl on April 5 will include a presentation of the steps involved in creating one of Bunny Bowen’s juniper and clay hangings, explaining how the clay piece is formed, bisqued and glazed, and how the rough juniper branches are sanded and shaped to complete the piece.
