Every October, the storied village of Abiquiú opens its doors and dirt roads to art lovers from near and far for the Abiquiú Studio Tour—one of Northern New Mexico’s most anticipated annual events.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of red cliffs, golden cottonwoods, and endless sky, this self-guided tour invites visitors into the private studios, businesses, galleries, and more, of more than 60 local artists. Painters, potters, sculptors, weavers, jewelers, and woodworkers—many inspired by the dramatic landscape itself—share their process, their stories, and their work in the places where it all comes to life.
The Abiquiú Studio Tour offers more than art—it’s an immersive experience in creativity, place, and connection. Visitors can explore scenic backroads, chat with artists, discover hidden treasures, and enjoy the warm hospitality of this historic village and surrounding areas, which Georgia O’Keeffe called home for decades.
Whether you’re a serious collector or simply curious, the Abiquiú Studio Tour is a rare chance to experience art in its most personal setting. Come for the beauty, stay for the stories—and leave inspired.
