Abiquiú Gathering of Artisans

Join us in the heart of Abiquiú for a vibrant, two-day artisan mercado celebrating the creativity and culture of artists from Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. Juried and hosted by the Abiquiú Arts Council 501(c)(3), this special gathering brings together local and regional artists in a festive setting filled with artisan goods, warm conversation, and the rich spirit of community.

Discover a curated selection of pottery, jewelry, textiles, paintings, woodwork, sculpture, and more—each piece crafted with intention and rooted in the beauty of the high desert. Meet the makers, enjoy food truck options, and savor a taste of Abiquiú hospitality.

This family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to connect directly with artists and experience the soulful charm of Abiquiú beyond the traditional Studio Tour. Whether you’re a collector, a curious traveler, or simply looking for an inspiring day out, the Abiquiú Gathering of Artisans is not to be missed.

Free to attend! Festival hours are 10:00am–5:00pm.

Directions from north and south: take Highway 84, turn on State Road 554 (at Mamacita’s Pizzeria), go up about 1 mile, and turn right into the Rural Event Center. Follow the signs and flags. The mercado is located inside the large multipurpose building. Ample parking and restrooms are available.
