28th Placitas Studio Tour

Due to the Placitas Studio Tour’s overwhelming success over the past twenty-seven years, this popular Mother’s Day Weekend tradition has now been expanded into a three-day event. Beginning Friday, May 9, and continuing through Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 11, sixty-one studios featuring seventy-eight Placitas artists will open their doors to the public from 10 am through 5 pm. As always, the Tour offers a behind-the-scenes opportunity to visit artists’ studios where inspiration and creativity merge into amazing art. Expect fabulous paintings, steel, pottery, glass, fiber, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, wood, photography, mixed media, and more, making this one of the most highly anticipated studio tours in New Mexico.

Placitas is nestled at the base of the northern Sandia Mountains off I-25 between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. From I-25, take Exit #242 and turn east on Highway 165 to Placitas.
