Southwest Contemporary is excited to announce a call for entries for our first issue of 2021: Bodies//Boundaries.
Artists are invited to submit bodies of work and projects related to the theme Bodies//Boundaries. Bodies//Boundaries investigates our personal and cultural negotiations of shared spaces. We seek to explore the dueling impulses—to contain contagion and to find human connection—that have been heightened by the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the escalating digital mediation of our interpersonal experiences, the pandemic has reminded us of the vulnerability of our bodies and our most primary needs. Artists are encouraged to consider this theme broadly across all artistic disciplines.
Selected artists will have their work seen in a print and digital publication with an audience of 20,000+ people, published alongside emerging and established artists from across the American Southwest.
Deadline: December 7, 2020, 11:59 pm MST.
