1st Sunday Artscrawl: Sandy Johnson and Geri Verble: The Art of Serendipity

February 1, 11:00 am1:00 pm MST

Serendipity embraces the unexpected, honoring the moments of chance that spark creativity and give rise to unique jewelry design. The works of Sandy Johnson and Geri Verble celebrate the beauty found in unplanned encounters where intuition, material and movement converge to shape wearable works of art.

Sandy Johnson is a jewelry designer working primarily in silver, fabricating necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and chains. Geri Verble specializes in tribal and ethnic jewelry. She developed a passion for collecting ethnic beads and pendants while traveling with the Peace Corps.

To demonstrate how serendipity and vision guide the art of jewelry making, Sandy and Geri invite visitors to create an “Art of Chance” beaded stretch bracelet during our First Sunday ARTScrawl on February 1, 11 am to 1 pm. A reception for the artists will be February 7, 1-3 pm.
