Artist Marianne Hall’s installation Between Heaven and Earth is a meditation on the tension between joy and sorrow, loss and renewal. Made of volumes of pink organza, thread, and knotted felt, surrounded by luminous gold, it evokes the fleeting beauty of virga, rain that never reaches the earth, and the grounding presence of ancient volcanic fields.
