Our content is free to read, but not free to produce. We need the support of our members to continue creating one of the best art and culture publications in the Southwest.

Why should I support SWC?
Southwest Contemporary is the only publication in the Southwest region dedicated to covering contemporary arts and culture from the perspective of local writers, artists, and creators. Our content is free for all to read, but it is not free to produce. Your support allows us to continue publishing quality arts journalism and criticism that is free and available to all and helps protect our editorial independence.
Where do my membership fees go?
All member contributions directly support our hard-working team of writers, editors, and photographers.
When will I receive my SWC merch?
Each year, we work with an artist to create new merch for our members! Merch is generally shipped when our next publication comes out. Our magazines are currently published three times per year (March, June, and September).
How do Ambassador members donate digital advertisements?
Each SWC Ambassador member can choose a local/regional small business or nonprofit to receive a free digital ad ($200 value, eligible for placement on our website or newsletter). Simply email us at membership@southwestcontemporary.com, and we will coordinate!
Do memberships auto-renew?
Yes, all SWC memberships auto-renew monthly or annually, based on your plan. You can cancel your membership at any time and still enjoy your membership benefits through the end of your current payment cycle.
How do I change or cancel my membership?
Memberships are pre-paid and non-refundable, but you can cancel your membership at any time and still enjoy your membership benefits through the end of your current payment cycle.
Can I get a refund?
Membership contributions are non-refundable, but you are welcome to cancel future payments at any time.
What are my payment options?
Our membership program is powered by a software service called Memberful, and we accept all major credit cards processed through Stripe. You may also pay by check. Please send checks to Southwest Contemporary, 369 Montezuma Ave, #258, Santa Fe, NM 87501. Be sure to include your email address if you would like to receive our members-only newsletter.
