Reading: James Reid: Light-Headed Verse
July 18, 1:00 pm—2:30 pm MDT

The author is a would-be emergent, unlicensed word-worker, from an underrepresented group of one, toiling in the hinterlands of New Mexico, seeking to verify his existence by the elicitation of a ping, and hoping to establish a larger audience than that of his imaginary dog and the few friends who encourage his ongoing efforts. This is a first book. Harder things get, the more one finds to laugh about, the theater of humor expanding to the limits of suffering.
