Opening: Taylor Anton White: Static Believes in You

K Contemporary is pleased to present Static Believes in You, a solo exhibition by Taylor Anton White, opening Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at K Contemporary’s Santa Fe gallery, located at 203 Canyon Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Marking the artist’s debut solo exhibition with the gallery in Santa Fe, Static Believes in You explores the unstable terrain between memory, perception, and constructed reality. Through layered compositions that oscillate between figuration and abstraction, White creates works that feel at once deeply personal and culturally fragmented—like signals interrupted, distorted, and reassembled.
White’s paintings operate in a space where intimacy and noise coexist. Gestural marks, fractured imagery, and shifting visual rhythms evoke the experience of navigating an increasingly mediated world, where emotion, identity, and meaning are constantly filtered through screens, static, and repetition. At the same time, the works maintain an undeniable physicality, emphasizing material presence and the hand of the artist.
Rather than offering fixed narratives, Static Believes in You invites viewers into a psychological landscape shaped by tension, vulnerability, humor, and ambiguity. The exhibition’s title suggests both reassurance and disorientation—an unsettling optimism that mirrors the contradictions embedded within contemporary life.
Situated within K Contemporary’s expanding Santa Fe program on Canyon Road, the exhibition continues the gallery’s commitment to presenting artists whose practices challenge conventional boundaries between image, material, and meaning while engaging broader cultural conversations.
Static Believes in You, opens to the public on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 4–6 PM MST, at K Contemporary, located at 203 Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM. The artist will be in attendance.
