Exhibition Opening: EVOLUTION/REVOLUTION: New Works by Shelley Horton-Trippe

With these paintings on canvas and paper the artist has turned outward, toward the political. Horton-Trippe has created a series of sardonic and critical images. Opening Reception will feature a collaboration between Horton-Trippe, poet Catherine Meng and translator/poet Sonja Kravanja who will recite work as an act of “spontaneous revolt.”

Shelley Horton‑Trippe launched her artistic career in Santa Fe in 1976. Over the decades, she has taught thousands of students and produced an expansive body of work—paintings, drawings, installations, and art actions. Her exhibitions span major international platforms, including the Venice Biennale, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and the SITE Santa Fe tenth Biennial.
