Artist Talk, Lenhardt Lecture: Caroline Kent

Join us for the spring 2026 Dawn and David Lenhardt Lecture featuring Chicago-based visual artist Caroline Kent. Kent is an acclaimed artist and associate professor in the Art, Theory, and Practice Department at Northwestern University. Her work pushes the boundaries of language and translation through an expansive painting practice that spans drawing, sculpture, performance, and installation.
A 2025 USA Fellow and Aspen Arts Prize recipient, Kent has earned major support from the Pollock-Krasner, McKnight, and Jerome foundations. Her work has been featured at leading institutions, including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, MoMA, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Walker Art Center.
