Artist Talk: Bernie Diaz: Papers

Join the Georgetown Art Center in welcoming artist Bernie Diaz for an in-depth discussion about his Papers exhibit. This is a free event taking place during normal business hours and is open to all ages.

“Papers is an exhibition of small-scale abstract paper assemblages and collage-derived paintings that reflect on identity formation, fragmentation, and historical revision. Through layering, overlapping, and embellishing words and images, the compositions obscure origins, interrogate meaning, and underscore the tension between clarity and obscurity.”
