We are excited to announce our newest open call for art, Caminando por las Américas / Walking Through The Americas
Submission Guidelines:
Eligibility: Open to artists ages 8 and up; applications for artists under age 18 must include signature and contact information of parent or guardian.
Mediums: All mediums are accepted, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, textiles, and mixed media; no replica prints shall be accepted.
Deadline: All submissions must be received by August 5, 2026.

Exhibition Details:
We invite artists from around the world to participate in Caminando por las Américas (Walking Through the Americas), an exhibition celebrating the cultural heritage, migration stories, and enduring connections from Latin America, among Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador.
The exhibition will feature Cultural Guides from the consulates of Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador, who will present art archives and select artifacts. At the heart of the exhibition, a large spirit animal will serve as a focal point, surrounded by grid walls and pedestals displaying selected works.
We are seeking visual artists whose work resonates with themes of migration, identity, transformation, and lineage. Artists are encouraged to reflect on personal or ancestral journeys, cultural memory, and the interconnectedness of the Americas.
Each artist should identify their lineage in their submission. Selected works will be juried by Olmeca, Hip-Hop Artist, Activist, and Scholar, who will also present an interpretive display of migration patterns throughout history.

Exhibition Dates: The exhibition will run from August 31 – September 24, 2026.
Venue: Rotunda Gallery at Clark County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Pkwy, Las Vegas, Nevada 89155
Reception: A reception will be held on September 24, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:30 P.M. where artists will have the opportunity to meet and discuss their work.

Best in Show: $300 Desert Art Supplies gift certificate
Honorable Mentions: $150 (x2) Desert Art Supplies gift certificate
Gift certificates are only valid in person at any Desert Art Supplies location. Awards will be distributed at the exhibition reception to artists in attendance.
