Taos Ceramics Center is a multifaceted nonprofit organization that includes the TCC Gallery, hosting notable exhibitions of contemporary ceramics and other fine art throughout the year as well as a selection of functional-ware and sculpture by members, instructors, and friends of the gallery; the TCC Studio, a community-based studio with approximately 50 members and more than 200 students annually offering classes and workshops throughout the year; and the TCC Annex, a well-stocked ceramic supply store servicing the needs of more than 400 ceramic artists in a 60-mile radius of Taos for clay, tools, and glazes. In addition, the TCC offers two artist-in-residence opportunities, including housing, bringing ceramic artists to Taos from around the nation. We look forward to soon adding a purpose-built, dedicated education center to our existing campus that will allow for more workshops, classes, and visiting artists. TCC's vision is to be the premier center for ceramics education and appreciation in the Southwest.
